Christmas Photos

If you know my son even remotely, you know of his fondness (or lack there of) for pictures. I scheduled a portrait session for Alex at 4:00 in the afternoon and I informed Alex that I was picking him up early for school assuming he would be excited - after all...most kids enjoy skipping out of class early, right...which would then make the photo session a bit less painful. Alex knew there was a catch, however. He immediately inquired "Why are you picking me up early mom?". I explained to him that we were taking pictures for our Christmas cards.

Disgusted, he says..."Mom, the only thing worse than school is Christmas photos"

He walked out of the room to return a few minutes later with this ensemble for photos

Alex On Politics

I took Alex with me to vote today and on the way to the voting booth, I asked him if he had any questions for me in regards to the candidates. He confidently said "Nope, I'm voting for Senator McCain"

I asked him how he came to his decision and he explained "Well, Senator McCain is older than Senator Obama so he must be in a higher grade at school and that means he knows more"
