Easter

We had a very quiet Easter weekend. Alex and I spent the weekend cleaning, playing Wii, studying, riding bike, playing ball, and eating. My father, brother, sister and my sister's boyfriend joined us for Easter brunch on Sunday.

It would be impossible for Alex and I to be home for three entire days without a little drama. Alex lost his tooth on Saturday and now has a toothless grin. I woke up on Saturday to the sound of him brushing the tooth (yes, just the one tooth) in the bathroom. The last visit from the tooth fairy was disappointing - she only left $.87 in change under the pillow. At first, we thought maybe the fairy forgot and could only find nickles, dimes, and pennies under the couch cushions, but after further examination of the situation, we decided it was because the tooth had a little cavity and given the depreciation, $.87 was what the tooth was worth. So, this time, Alex was going to polish that baby up so it shined!

In the afternoon, we had to run to the grocery store to pick up ingredients for Sunday brunch. Alex was, again, examining the tooth before placing it in a glass and leaving it next to his bed. When we returned, the glass was tipped and the tooth was missing! You may be thinking this guy was the culprit since he was the only one in the house and had a wet beard when we returned home.

No, see what happened was that because it was Easter, the Easter Bunny demands that all other fairyland personal stay clear since he only has a limited amount of time to deliver Easter basket. Thus, the tooth fairy sometimes sneaks in and grabs the tooth, examines it in her office, and then sends the monetary funds with the Easter bunny. NO - the dog didn't eat the tooth, the fairy just saw that we were gone and decided to grab the tooth since the bunny would be hopping around later that evening.

Indeed, there were two $1.00 bills in the Easter basket when Alex woke up.

And you thought it was Chewy!

Tests

Good grief Charlie Brown - I have so much to share! Easter weekend...love life...but for today, lets start with an Alex story.

Alex received two DS games in his Easter basket - Supper Mario Bros 3 and The best of the DS Tests. After a six mile bike ride and a few games of horse last night, ma was very tired and sat down to play a few games on the DS Tests. The game has memory games and intelligence tests. I decided to take one of the intelligence tests which had lots of those "which comes next in the sequence" questions, algebra tic questions, and unscrambling letters.

My brain was working OT! After probably fifteen minutes, Alex sat next to me and asked "mom, are you done with your sobriety tests yet?

If your wondering where he heard the term sobriety tests, refer to this posts.
