It has been a long, long week and I am very grateful that it is Friday! Alex was struggling with his spelling last night. He really didn't want to do homework and when he misspelled the word "sleep" (he spelled it sleap), he actually argued with me that the correct spelling was "sleap". We looked it up in the dictionary together to discover that the correct spelling is indeed "sleep"So this morning, on the way to school, I asked him how to spell the word "sleep"
He looked at me and actually WINKED and said "mom, you just leave the spelling to me"
He winked! Oh that kid cracks me up sometimes!

Can't you hardly wait to talk to his teacher - to see if winking works with her? :D
