I’ve returned from my hiatus. Because I couldn’t stop obsessing about my odd love octagon, I had to take a break from blogging to do a lot of soul search and praying. I prayed so much that I assume when God heard my voice, his only reaction had to be “are you serious….you again?” Although I haven’t stopped thinking about our....whatever it was, I’ve stopped obsessing about it and I have started to move forward.
The fall semester at college is underway and my classes are so interesting!!! I love school! I have a professor who is a fast-talking laugh-riot southern man. Alex has started the 3rd grade and I was really worried when I first met Alex’s third-grade teacher, but all is well so far. Alex really needs someone to draw those boundaries in big bold ink and she seemed so sweet, I figured Alex would walk all over her for sure, but she has done a fabulous job and Alex really likes her. He started football this year which has been…interesting. I really encourage him to participate in sports because of all of the lessons like discipline, hard work, and good sportsmanship that athletes can learn. Alex is not a very aggressive kid and really struggles when things do not come easy to him or he’s not the best at whatever it is that he’s participating in. After the first week, he wanted to quit, which to his disappointment, was not happening under my watch. Saturday came his first game and he really wanted to be a no-show, but after the first quarter, he was having fun and even managed to stay on his feet during the third and fourth quarter!! He is a little worry-bug and when one of his teammates said “you’re my enemy” he was in tears after the game insisting that this kid “hates him”. At church on Sunday, however, this child ran over to Alex to chat about the game so all is well. He takes everything so personal and is so tender-hearted about some issues, it really is exhausting sometimes. I’ll have some pictures from Saturday’s game to post tomorrow.

LOL “are you serious….you again?”
Yep I get this all the time. Except mine is usually "WHAT NOW".
I totally love you.
